About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and enhance the Workflow Development Kit (WDK) and Vercel Workflow platform, with a focus on AI enablement
  • Design, implement, and maintain AI integrations for reliable agentic workflows, durability, and observability
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Conduct comprehensive testing, including handling pauses, resumptions, and state management for AI agents
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and infrastructure experts
  • Engage with the open-source community and contribute to related projects
  • Gather developer and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation in AI enablement features

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You have at least 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern frontend development tools
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks, workflow automation, or building durable systems (e.g., agents, queues, state machines)
  • Experience contributing to or participating in open source projects
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
