About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage environmental and oil/gas projects from scoping through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance
- Oversee and conduct Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Direct soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, and stormwater sampling
- Prepare technical reports, permits, and regulatory approvals
- Serve as a key client contact and mentor junior staff
- Support business development and proposal efforts
- Provide mentorship, staff supervision, and project/program oversight
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of environmental consulting experience
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards, preferably with orphan well experience
- Knowledge of civil engineering construction projects
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout project execution
- Knowledge of Ohio VAP and BUSTR
- Understanding of RCRA, CERCLA, and TSCA
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred
- Regulatory-facing expertise and leadership, preferably with Ohio EPA and ODNR
