About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate multiple projects and work with staff and sub-consultants
- Coordinate and manage client requests and needs
- Apply technical knowledge of structural engineering principles
- Serve as a technical advisor to other staff
- Review design and production deliverables, ensuring industry standard of care and compliance with company standards and policies
- Provide mentoring to junior staff
- Support proposal and business development efforts
- Perform structural evaluation, design, and construction-phase services for private and public-sector clients
- Work on projects including commercial, industrial, manufacturing, mixed-use, bridge, transportation, energy, telecommunications, water/wastewater, and other structures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 4-9 years of civil engineering experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with concrete and steel design
- Preferred: Industrial Mechanical/Electrical Support structures
- Preferred: Building shells
- Preferred: Transportation structure design
- Preferred: Two years of project management of small projects
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory skills
- Demonstrated business development and client management experience
- Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships
