About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect FHIR-compliant data models aligned with implementation guides, profiles, and internal architectural standards.
  • Design and operationalize data harmonization and enrichment strategies across EHR, HIE, and claims data sources.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for clinical ontologies including SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, and RxNorm.
  • Define and maintain custom value sets for specialized clinical use cases.
  • Establish validation frameworks and automated rules for clinical accuracy, consistency, and longitudinal data integrity.
  • Develop documentation communicating data design requirements to engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Support patient care and research efforts through accurate and usable clinical data.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical degree.
  • Professional Certificate or Master’s Degree in Clinical Informatics or equivalent professional experience in a clinical informatics role.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in clinical informatics or data integration in Healthcare or Life Sciences industries
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCD-A, NCPDP, FHIR R4/R5, and OMOP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Qualified applicants must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with dbt, Jupyter Notebooks, and healthcare data integration.
  • Preferred: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
