About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage programs and large projects related to Veritiv’s internal and external information systems
Communicate and coordinate project team activities
Align IT initiatives with long-term organizational objectives and suggest innovative solutions
Facilitate ideation through a defined innovation process and engage appropriate stakeholders
Communicate program status and escalate issues to management
Develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plans, budgets, and timelines for initiatives
Articulate program goals, objectives, and business impact
Manage program and project teams and coordinate cross-project initiatives
Ensure portfolio optimization, business goal alignment, and business value alignment
Identify requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors
Develop and manage project budgets and deliver against business goals
Identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects
Analyze and overcome program risks and produce reports
Consolidate project reporting and manage project interdependencies
Ensure resource capacity and availability across projects
Manage IT components of Veritiv’s programs and projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience leading warehouse relocations, facility consolidations, start-ups, and large-scale operational change initiatives
3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required
5-10 years of related job experience
Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
Ability to work quickly and efficiently
Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills
Experience providing leadership regarding work-related systems, processes, and challenges
Experience interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver objectives
Experience planning, managing, and organizing resources within short/medium timescales
Experience working with ERP systems, contract management systems, CRM systems, and project management tools preferred
Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong planning and organization skills
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification
