About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities involving electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.
- Manage WMS configuration and facility setup while supporting the long-term evolution of the distribution network.
- Support the overall Warehouse Management Systems business and standard operating processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert on WMS applications to support the long-term operational vision.
- Lead configuration initiative activities supporting the national distribution network.
- Track project status and issues and escalate roadblocks as necessary.
- Work with local site management and corporate resources to resolve conflicts and communicate solutions.
- Participate in site-specific requirements meetings to solve complex operational and system problems.
- Identify local site requirements, collaborate with corporate teams on solutions, and document solutions.
- Identify and escalate continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide user support during WMS implementations and upgrades.
- Manage WMS end-user training content and tool development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Distribution Facility Start-up experience a Plus.
- High aptitude in Facility Layout and design.
- Typically requires overnight travel nearing 60% of the time (estimate).
- 5-10 years of related job experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Thorough understanding of distribution management, preferably from a large, national, or decentralized organization.
- Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
- Experience designing data models and visuals using Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience providing leadership regarding work-related systems, processes, and challenges.
- Experience in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long time frames.
- Experience interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver objectives.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems, contract management, CRM systems, and project management tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of major ERP software applications such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong planning and organization skills are required.
