About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted technical adviser for Global Solutions clients and opportunities
- Collaborate with Field Sales Engineers and Sales Teams to engage customers and key stakeholders
- Act as technical lead on complex sales involving solution design
- Serve as design authority for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop multi-tower solutions and supporting design artifacts
- Reduce deal conversion timelines and accelerate revenue realization
- Lead solution definition and design engagements with Sales Engineers, Client Partners, and clients
- Design SIP and VoIP engagements into enterprise-wide UCaaS, Operator Connect, IPIA, and Direct Routing transformations
- Understand customer needs and present comprehensive, ROI-driven multi-tower solutions
- Champion strategic solution expansion within Global Enterprise client segments
- Drive Solution Architect Requests through intake, task completion, and lifecycle management
- Deliver detailed design artifacts for downstream implementation and support teams
- Integrate voice and collaboration architectures with Managed WAN, LAN Services, and SD-WAN
- Use Generative AI tools such as Gemini for content creation, RFP evaluation, configuration data extraction, and slide deck creation
- Provide product-team feedback to develop repeatable customer-driven solutions and Verizon intellectual property
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Four or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
- Two or more years of experience in Architecture Design
- Experience with wireline and cellular wireless services (data and voice), cloud, managed services IT, security, or mobility solutions
- IP Data Networking experience, including routing, switching, load balancing, and high availability
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering preferred as an additional qualification
- Three or more years of experience in a customer-facing position such as sales, sales engineering, or consulting preferred
- Certifications such as Award Solutions – RR Solutions coursework, Cloud Provider education and certification, CCIE, CISSP, CCENT, CompTIA Network+, Wireless Recognized Certifications, OEM certifications, or CompTIA Security+ preferred
- Knowledge of 5G preferred
- Knowledge of LTE, VoLTE, CDMA, and Voice IP Services such as SIP, Skype, UCC, Jabber, and Spark preferred
- Experience with Software Defined Networking and Virtual Network Services preferred
- Technical expertise with Cisco, Palo Alto, Riverbed, or Fortinet preferred
