About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute integrated communication strategies for key B2B product launches, marketing initiatives, and commercially critical strategies such as Verizon AI Connect
- Drive proactive media relations and position Verizon Business as a market leader across business, technology, and enterprise trade outlets
- Advise senior leaders through message discipline, briefing materials, and executive positioning for media appearances and industry keynotes
- Build and maintain narrative architecture, including message maps, proof points, Q&As, and thought leadership
- Ensure consistent messaging across internal, external, and partner channels
- Track campaign sentiment and evaluate earned media reach
- Use performance metrics to continuously optimize communications strategies
- Manage rapid-response messaging and protect brand equity in fast-moving, competitive technology landscapes
- Direct agency partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional marketing and product teams
- Guide project workstreams with agility and strategic clarity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
- Experience in external B2B corporate communications, executive communications, or agency settings
- Exceptional track record in B2B media relations, narrative building, and placing high-profile business/tech stories
- Experience acting as a strategic communications partner to senior executives within a complex, matrixed organization
- Ability to build communications programs from the ground up
- Ability to translate complex technology concepts, including AI, enterprise software, and network solutions, into accessible stories
- Master’s degree, as an even-better qualification
- Experience across B2B technology and/or telecommunications sectors, as an even-better qualification
- Deep network of established relationships with national business, technology, and industry journalists, as an even-better qualification
- Experience managing PR agencies and multidisciplinary product communications launches, as an even-better qualification
