About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, construct, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines ingesting and centralizing security data from multiple Systems of Record into the Cyber Data Hub
  • Build, maintain, and optimize backend web infrastructure serving dashboards, reporting portals, and AI model endpoints
  • Engineer conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Optimize relational and non-relational database architectures for transactional processing and BI/analytics workloads
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and intelligent automation for vulnerability risk scoring
  • Create reusable automated frameworks and CI/CD workflows for data processing, web deployments, and model training
  • Implement data quality checks, schema validations, and compliance safeguards
  • Maintain and monitor web servers, databases, ML staging, and UAT reporting environments
  • Translate security program needs into data and infrastructure tasks
  • Guide junior engineers and liaise between security operations and core engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through job-related work experience, military experience, or specialized training or education
  • Experience in Python and SQL for complex data manipulation, ETL processes, and algorithmic development
  • Advanced expertise writing, optimizing, and debugging complex queries and schemas for relational databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
  • Experience with non-relational databases including MongoDB and Elasticsearch
  • Experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake and BigQuery
  • Proven experience deploying, securing, and maintaining web infrastructure, REST APIs, backend frameworks, and web servers/proxies
  • Hands-on experience developing predictive models and integrating ML libraries into production web environments
  • Prior experience engineering within a Vulnerability Management program or Cyber Security organization
  • Experience with cloud-native web hosting, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architecture preferred
  • Experience fine-tuning LLMs or building RAG frameworks preferred
  • Understanding of NIST, SOX, FISMA, and the full IT stack preferred
