About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a key technical expert for the Connected Vehicle Engineering team
- Guide clients and internal teams through the connected vehicle lifecycle
- Act as primary technical advisor during pre-sale discussions and provide post-sale support
- Develop and respond to complex RFP/RFQ proposals
- Advise on chipset and module selection and develop LTE-to-5G technology roadmaps
- Provide guidance on RTK, 5G Standalone, Private Networks, secure cloud interconnects, and eUICC implementation
- Lead Proof of Concept testing and technical project execution
- Oversee platform and full system integration across vehicle hardware, software, and network components
- Manage end-to-end device lifecycles from concept through end-of-life
- Oversee device and module certification to support compliance and market launch
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
- Proven experience in a technical role within the telematics, IoT, or automotive industry
- Willingness to travel
- Degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering (even better)
- Hands-on experience with connected device hardware, including chipsets and modules (even better)
- Familiarity with eUICC/iSIM technology and remote SIM provisioning (even better)
- Understanding of GNSS technologies, including RTK for high-precision positioning (even better)
- Experience with system integration, API integration, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (even better)
- Ability to manage POC testing, certification processes, and full device lifecycles (even better)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences (even better)
