About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical expertise for network transformation, network service issues, network optimization, and maintenance
  • Lead wireless network testing, field execution, parameter optimization, and node migration projects across multi-vendor LTE and 5G networks
  • Optimize Key Performance Indicators to ensure network quality and user experience
  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve network and data performance issues
  • Perform optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems and applications
  • Evaluate network coverage, identify gaps, recommend improvements, and help implement recommendations
  • Generate, drive, and update problem-tracking tickets across multiple systems
  • Conduct indoor RF coverage assessments by collecting scanner data and analyzing RSRP, SINR, and PCI pollution
  • Analyze pre- and post-KPI performance and resolve RAN issues such as call drops, low throughput, interference, and handoff failures
  • Perform VoLTE/5G drive test analysis to improve accessibility, retainability, MOS score, and audio quality
  • Execute multi-band LTE and 5G optimization
  • Implement RF shaping adjustments and parameter optimization to balance traffic and maximize capacity
  • Evaluate service performance trends and isolate root causes
  • Perform field drive/walk testing and post-process and analyze technology and KPI logs
  • Analyze Layer 3 drive test data and develop optimization strategies
  • Diagnose and resolve in-building system issues with senior engineers
  • Manage customer eFEMTO deployments and provide technical support for customer-facing issues
  • Coordinate technical investigations and testing with regional, area, and headquarters functions
  • Provide technical analysis, troubleshooting, and training assistance to markets and regions
  • Optimize 5G and LTE RAN networks using traditional and innovative methods
  • Investigate and resolve customer service complaints
  • Support new cell-site integration, including small cells and DAS systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Three or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
  • Proven track record of team leadership, mentoring, and technical oversight
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in challenging field and environment scenarios
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and technical presentations
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time
  • Expertise in 4G and 5G
  • Five or more years of hands-on experience in RF field testing, optimization, and wireless network deployment
  • Strong working knowledge of 3GPP standards across CDMA, EVDO, LTE, VoLTE, CBRS, and 5G (mmWave, C-Band, DSS, Clean NR)
  • Proven experience with OEM platforms including Samsung, Nokia macro and small cell hardware
  • Proficiency with field drive test tools and post-processing software, including TEMS, XCAL, XCAP, JDSU, WindCatcher, TrueCall, xLPT, IRIS, and Optis Analyzer
  • Familiarity with RF planning and reporting tools including Atoll, MapInfo Professional, and Google Earth Pro
  • Experience with propagation model tuning and validation
