About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support daily operations, including internal and external stakeholder engagement and dotted-line leadership
  • Migrate critical network management systems and IT tools into secure network zones
  • Develop migration strategies and dependency maps for cloud-native framework transitions without business disruption
  • Build automated pipelines and Golden Config security frameworks for data center zone deployment
  • Lead security configuration standards and technical oversight for routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Map traffic flows and optimize DNS and load balancing for service cutovers
  • Architect CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows using AI/Copilot frameworks and scripting
  • Integrate firewalls, proxies, and identity-based security policies across network segments
  • Validate hardware through stress testing across Wi-Fi, retail systems, firewalls, proxies, and load balancers
  • Design Low Level Design diagrams and maintain physical topology knowledge
  • Establish roadmaps and technical standards for secure, scalable, high-performance network deployments
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
  • Four or more years of experience in enterprise network implementation, testing, and data center operations
  • Experience with DNS, Load Balancing (Citrix/F5), and IP Address Management (IPAM)
  • Two or more years of experience in enterprise network architecture and security design
  • Prior experience leading complex application migrations and data center consolidation projects
  • Experience building fault-tolerant architectures and micro-segmentation within Zero Trust (SASE/SSE) frameworks
  • Expertise in Next-Gen Firewalls (NGFW), proxies, VPNs, and IAM
  • Hands-on experience with Python and Ansible
  • Proficiency with enterprise logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, and SevOne
  • Understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems and network infrastructure interactions
  • Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCIE Security, or related SASE certifications
