About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and qualify business opportunities and develop technology strategies to achieve objectives
- Recommend integration strategies, architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure for complete solutions
- Own the technical relationship with Verizon customers
- Manage product and solution briefings
- Produce proof-of-concept work
- Coordinate additional technical resources
- Work directly with customers to create solutions and use cases leveraging the Verizon portfolio
- Position Verizon Business as a thought leader on key technological developments
- Continuously develop technical knowledge to deliver quality services and solutions
- Travel to client sites, conferences, and related events as required
- Build long-term business relationships within assigned enterprise accounts and collaborate with sales colleagues
- Design complex solutions addressing customer business challenges
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an IT related subject, or relevant work experience
- Experience working as a pre-sales solution architect for a managed services provider and dealing with multinational business customers
- Experience of direct interaction with customer stakeholders as part of a sales process
- Experience architecting and developing network and cybersecurity solutions for large enterprise customers
- Experience producing and presenting responses to requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Knowledge of software-defined networking, routing, VPNs, and firewalls
- Knowledge of data and information security
- Experience in two or more of: Software Defined Networking (SDN), IT infrastructure and systems security, cloud or network systems management, and business continuity
- Willingness to travel 25–50% of the time
- Valid UK Driver's License
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with multinational organisations and leading global solutions
- Ability to learn and work with new and emerging networking, cybersecurity, and data communications technologies
- Experience running multiple projects or deals simultaneously under tight timelines
- Industry-recognised certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, CCSK, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Design or Network Associate, ITIL Foundations, or similar are advantageous
- Experience designing and implementing solutions incorporating Data and IP Services, Cloud Services, Security Services, or Contact Center Technologies
- Knowledge and experience utilising Artificial Intelligence and related tools
