About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate on large wireless sales for the Department of War account
  • Serve as the technical specialist on the sales team supporting data solutions sales
  • Partner with internal and external teams to align solutions with customer technical and business needs
  • Shape innovative solutions for current and future customer needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver outcomes
  • Establish relationships with internal and external customers
  • Develop and guide customers in wireless offerings, products, and services
  • Present to executive audiences, customers, and trade shows
  • Support customer trials to help customers select solutions
  • Create and sell wireless solutions and products including FWA, broadband, tablets, IoT, and private wireless networks
  • Translate complex technical concepts for technical and business audiences
  • Primarily work from customer or field locations, with occasional visits to Verizon locations for training and meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • Technical sales experience
  • Experience selling to the Public Sector (agencies/departments)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience managing complex technical sales and demonstrating follow-through
  • Track record of building a sales pipeline and meeting targets
  • Technology experience with WAN data communications, wireless networks, transmissions, and apps using wireless technology
  • Experience developing positive account relationships with large companies
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills to convey complex solutions to varied audiences
