About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build deep, consultative technical relationships with customers as a trusted advisor
  • Drive customer outcomes using Verizon 5G and edge computing
  • Work with sales partners, sales engineers, and customers to identify and qualify neutral host and private network opportunities
  • Design modern 5G connectivity solutions, including private core and edge compute capabilities
  • Develop scalable, repeatable, high-performing, reliable, and secure wireless network architectures
  • Monitor regulatory and compliance changes and adapt reference architectures
  • Provide strategic technical insights to help customers achieve business goals
  • Explain the value of licensed spectrum and scalability of neutral host networks
  • Review, validate, and approve network designs; provide feedback and revise designs where applicable
  • Build and present design packages with Verizon stakeholders
  • Explain future solution enablement through Verizon’s network architecture
  • Advise and support multi-carrier, device, and application onboarding
  • Partner with sales and specialists during offer discussions
  • Collaborate with network and service delivery teams to execute builds cohesively
  • Represent the voice of the customer and the market

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of relevant work experience
  • Five or more years of experience in the tech industry, including pre-sales, customer-facing consulting, or other relevant technical expertise
  • Experience architecting and developing large cellular network solutions for small, medium, and large enterprises and/or government agencies
  • Experience designing 4G/5G/CBRS wireless technologies, software-defined networks, and cloud and edge computing architectures
  • Experience designing distributed antenna systems (DAS) and small-cell-based in-building systems
  • Experience and knowledge of Wi-Fi, private networking, neutral host networking, and hybrid (public/private) network architectures
  • Strong technical acumen in 5G network architecture and end-to-end solution discussions, including supported devices and applications
  • Deep knowledge of IT/OT processes and development of enterprise technical strategy
  • Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems
  • Experience managing multiple projects or deals under tight timelines
  • Willingness to travel throughout the US and abroad
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Master’s degree in engineering or advanced network certifications and experience preferred
  • IBWave Level 2 or above certification preferred
  • Deep understanding of 3GPP Specifications for 5G, specifically Rel-16+ preferred
  • Direct experience working with wireless network integrators and RAN OEMs such as Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, and Celona preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and digital transformation solutions preferred
  • Experience onboarding domestic and international mobile network operators onto neutral host networks preferred
