About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead processing of Trailing Credits for VCG, VBG, Accessory, and Prepaid business units
  • Use SQL across Teradata, Oracle, and Google BigQuery and Python scripting to drive cash flow acceleration between Android and Apple OEMs
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for promotional data intelligence
  • Partner with Marketing, Data and Analytics, Finance, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Accounting
  • Validate complex datasets across PVFs, OMP, and GCP
  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines for invoice accuracy, contract alignment, OEM review reduction, and MSO improvement
  • Write complex, optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain more than 20 Python automation and extraction scripts in enterprise server environments
  • Integrate SSOT datasets into PVF and automated invoicing scripts
  • Lead AMPLIFI data transition and publication into GCP
  • Resolve data anomalies, identify pipeline bottlenecks, and provide data intelligence to Senior Finance and Sourcing leadership
  • Lead technical development of the OEM Funding Tracker module within AMPLIFI
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations for Trailing Credits, promotional transactions, and forward/reverse logistics
  • Manage automated data processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close while adhering to internal checks and SOX controls
  • Provide technical guidance, SQL/Python best practices, and code review mentorship to offshore junior engineering resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • Exceptional organizational skills and experience coordinating and managing multiple cross-divisional work processes and projects
  • Hands-on experience with Wireless Device promotional implementations, datasets, and telecom customer journeys
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, invoicing preparation, OEM reviews, and SOX compliance controls
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or six+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or Senior Data Analyst, or equivalent military experience/specialized training
  • Eight or more years of extensive hands-on experience querying, architecting, and optimizing data using Teradata, Oracle, and Google BigQuery
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency strictly required
  • Working knowledge of Python sufficient to read, maintain, and execute 20+ existing scripts
  • Three or more years of hands-on experience with Wireless Device promotional implementations, datasets, and telecom customer journeys
  • Familiarity with Linux shell scripting is a strong plus
