About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive architecture, innovation, and high-impact deployment across enterprise verticals including Sports & Venues, Department of Defense, Healthcare, Media, and Manufacturing
  • Lead projects involving advanced enterprise use-case solutions on private and public wireless networks
  • Contribute to technology roadmapping, intellectual property ideation, and standardized deployment architectures
  • Work with enterprise customers, technology partners, product leadership, and system integrators to architect, validate, and scale solutions on Verizon's network assets
  • Lead end-to-end lab and field trials of emerging network technologies, including portable kit deployment, RF and core integration, data collection, and performance reporting
  • Design and engineer infrastructure for critical trial scenarios
  • Lead complex remote or rapid-response deployments
  • Establish kit standards, support requirements, and deployment best practices
  • Engage enterprise clients and high-profile stakeholders to solve connectivity and operational-insight challenges
  • Collaborate across Technology & Product Development, Network Operations, Verizon Business Group, and executive leadership
  • Build cohesive, monetizable solutions and drive product innovation and revenue growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • Experience in wireless networking, network architecture, or systems integration
  • Understanding of end-to-end wireless architectures, mobile network assets, and enterprise connectivity solutions
  • Experience leading large-scale network architecture or integration projects
  • Expertise with 4G/5G core networks, MEC, IP routing, RF design, and edge/private network deployments
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% or less of the time
  • Preferred: bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with Private Wireless Networks, portable/mobile network kits, or rapid-deployment network infrastructure
  • Experience in rapid field prototyping, proof-of-concepts, or managing end-to-end technology trials
  • Familiarity with Private Breakout, network slicing, or AI-driven network capacity management and real-time optimization
  • Experience across enterprise verticals such as Defense/DOD, Healthcare, Media/Broadcast, Sports & Venues, or Manufacturing
  • Track record of innovation, patent filings, or defining scalable, productized technical standards
  • Experience in real-time video streaming/production, edge computing, or specialized industry protocol integration
  • Expertise in mentoring and technical leadership
  • Experience building relationships with enterprise customers, technical partners, and cross-functional leadership
  • Verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders
  • Self-motivated leadership and ability to thrive in high-ambiguity environments
  • Strategic acumen to develop action plans, establish architectural baselines, and drive cross-functional alignment
