About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, and optimization of agentic AI, LLM, and machine learning/deep learning solutions
- Build, train, and deploy complex, high-priority propensity models to predict customer behaviors, churn risk, and lifecycle triggers
- Manage end-to-end model development pipelines from advanced feature engineering through production deployment and monitoring
- Serve as a subject matter expert on agentic development, machine learning, and predictive modeling
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists
- Own the lifecycle of models deployed in high-impact areas, ensuring continuous optimization, accuracy, and measurable business performance
- Present model insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional business partners
- Support Verizon's transition to a modern, agile pod model
- Provide machine learning support for customer lifecycle touchpoints and trigger events
- Enable micro-segmentation, hyper-personalization, marketing optimization, customer journey improvements, and churn reduction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
- Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
- Experience working on high-priority or high-visibility technical initiatives within a corporate setting
- Knowledge of LLM agent architecture: Google ADK, LangChain/LangGraph, multi-agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), MCP, and A2A protocols
- Experience with Python, R, and SQL for advanced statistical modeling and large-scale data extraction
- Strong expertise in machine learning/deep learning algorithms, including Transformer, transfer learning, and NLP
- Expertise using PyTorch and scikit-learn packages
- Master's degree is an additional preferred qualification
- Experience with RAG, ONNX-based embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search is an additional preferred qualification
- Knowledge of BigQuery pipelines and GCP, including Cloud Run and Vertex AI, is an additional preferred qualification
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure and production MLOps tools is an additional preferred qualification
- Experience building, evaluating, and deploying end-to-end propensity models is an additional preferred qualification
