About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cultivate, build, and close private 4G/5G Private Networks for Verizon Business Markets
- Create new value for Verizon and customers by solving customer needs
- Build and maintain the sales funnel from discovery to close
- Drive growth in the private wireless category
- Serve as the technical expert for Verizon’s 4G and 5G Private Wireless Network services
- Increase participation, penetration, and close rates
- Shape innovative, secure, holistic connectivity solutions
- Build relationships with internal and external customers, including C-suite and CIO offices
- Translate Private Wireless services into customer business outcomes
- Identify Private Wireless opportunities through prospecting, relationship building, product knowledge, and customer discovery
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and align resources to execute sales strategy
- Present at executive meetings, customer demos, trade shows, and Verizon Executive Briefings
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and initiatives
- Manage complex project lifecycles from contract to go-live
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
- Travel to client sites and occasionally visit Verizon locations for training and meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of direct experience selling Private Network solutions, such as Private LTE, 5G, or related enterprise networking technologies
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex project lifecycles from contract to go-live
- Proven engagement with C-suite and executive-level decision-makers, including multi-stakeholder procurement processes
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Six or more years of relevant experience through work and/or military experience, or specialized training
- Demonstrated success nurturing long-term partnerships and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel up to 50%–75% to client sites
- Capability and drive to meet or exceed challenging sales targets
- Experience developing large multinational and Fortune 500 account relationships
- Strong communication skills to position new ideas
- Persuasion and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities
- Experience selling complex wireless solutions to Fortune 500 clients
- Deep understanding of cellular networks, including licensed and unlicensed spectrum
