About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create a quantitative discipline around Verizon Business Group’s strategic decision-making
  • Provide reactive and proactive data-driven insights focused on growth, revenue, and efficiency
  • Build connections between the organization, AI&D, Marketing Sciences, and Operational Analytics
  • Design measurement programs for Verizon’s Business Markets Group
  • Develop expertise in measurement systems for channels engaging Business Market customers
  • Develop advanced analytical models for geospatial and financial decision-making
  • Evaluate alternative sales and operations approaches and make recommendations
  • Distill complex data sets into actionable strategic insights
  • Design robust analytical solutions from loosely formed requirements
  • Align metrics and methodology across lines of business within Verizon’s Business Group
  • Lead cross-functional teams to source new data for strategic projects and decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • Experience with SQL or a similar relational database product
  • Advanced data visualization experience within Google G-Suite and traditional BI systems such as Qlik or Looker
  • Ability to turn complex requirements into simpler solutions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with financial models or business cases
  • Strong quantitative geospatial and root cause analytics experience
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to partner across multiple business and technology teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Looker
  • Experience with Google Apps Script
  • Experience with advanced analytics via Minitab, Python, or RStudio
  • Business Intelligence Certification (CPBI)
