About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Formulate and execute the programmatic strategy to scale Verizon’s global Network API commercial footprint
  • Cultivate relationships with aggregators, hyperscalers including AWS, Azure, and GCP, global enterprises, and the developer community
  • Lead cross-functional launches for network capabilities such as SIM Swap, Number Verification, and Quality on Demand
  • Partner with Product Marketing and B2B Sales to enable the field and build a customer pipeline
  • Represent Verizon in the GSMA Open Gateway initiative and CAMARA to influence universal standards
  • Bridge network engineering and commercial business teams by translating 5G capabilities into RESTful APIs
  • Establish and manage KPIs, developer sign-ups, API utilization metrics, and revenue targets
  • Present actionable performance insights to executive leadership
  • Partner with the Director of Network APIs to scale, grow, and drive the global Network API program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • Four or more years of experience in product management, technology or SaaS, or telecommunications
  • Solid understanding of the API economy, developer platforms, and cloud/hyperscaler environments
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a heavily matrixed organization and drive alignment across sales, product, and technical engineering teams
  • Direct experience with telco API standards, specifically CAMARA and GSMA Open Gateway (preferred)
  • Ability to synthesize complex technology architectures into commercial value propositions for C-suite clients and partners
  • Familiarity with 5G architecture, network slicing, MEC, and identity/fraud mitigation solutions
  • Background in developer evangelism or open-source software ecosystem partnerships
  • Hands-on, change-agent mindset in fast-paced technology environments
  • Experience leading a team (preferred)
