About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform day-to-day operations for the TMC Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • Monitor security alerts across multiple technologies and platforms to identify and mitigate enterprise security incidents
  • Assess potential cyber threats from various intake workflows and perform appropriate responses, including threat containment
  • Leverage security tools and logs to conduct detailed and accurate assessments of alerts and threats
  • Analyze security, cloud, and application security risks and ensure threats are detected and mitigated within required time frames
  • Follow or adjust case management and alert development life cycles
  • Write comprehensive case notes and escalation summaries
  • Enhance techniques, workflows, and processes to support TMC operational and strategic growth
  • Update and maintain process documentation
  • Promote collaboration and individual accountability in problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience
  • One or more years of experience in Information Security, Technology or Technical Risk Analysis
  • One or more years of experience working with SIEM technologies (i.e. Splunk)
  • Experience in SOC utilizing system, cloud, application and network logs
  • Practical application of SIEM and SOAR tools
  • Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and Lockheed Martin’s Cyber Kill Chain
  • Understanding of Windows, Unix/Linux, and OSX operating systems
  • Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including adversaries, campaigns, and motivations
  • Experience with analysis techniques, indicators of compromise, threat hunting, and identifying intrusions and potential incidents
  • Certifications like Network+, Security+, CISSP, CISM, and/or CFE are advantageous
