About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on a real, impactful project supporting Verizon Business Group
- Execute multidisciplinary projects and client initiatives across business units
- Contribute to technical solution design, business process optimization, and strategic enablement
- Use enterprise AI and digital labor tools to accelerate research and synthesize technical data
- Build intelligent workflows and improve operational efficiency using tools such as ServiceNow, Ansible, and Python
- Network with Global Solutions teams and the broader intern cohort
- Participate in virtual volunteering and leadership talks
- Present project deliverables to the Global Solutions Executive Leadership Team
- Participate in the Intern Marquee event in Basking Ridge, New Jersey
- Collaborate with mentors across business units and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be attending Verizon’s Thurgood Marshall College Fund Immersion Program October 2026
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
- Must be in good academic standing
- Ability to participate in a full-time, hybrid, 10-week temporary internship between June 2027 and August 2027
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Willingness and ability to relocate
- Agile, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with generative AI tools, including Gemini, NotebookLM, and Claude
- Proficiency with Google Workspace productivity tools
- Preferred majors include Business Intelligence, Digital Technology, Engineering Technology, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Network & Communications Management, Strategy Consulting, Telecommunications, or a related major
- Experience with complex problem solving and critical thinking
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to learn and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and cloud/IT solutions
- Experience driving cross-functional projects and applying systems thinking, data-backed reasoning, and process simplification
- Technical and data literacy, including AI tools
- Must be available for a minimum of three days per week in the office, as set by the manager
