About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, scale, and maintain vulnerability assessment platforms, scanners, and underlying cloud infrastructure
- Automate manual triage tasks, ingestion pipelines, and remediation tracking using scripting and integrations
- Drive continuous evaluation and optimization of vulnerability identification programs across hybrid and cloud-native attack surfaces
- Collaborate with global functional organizations and cloud engineering teams to interpret findings and streamline remediation
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external security vendors on scanning issues, API integrations, and ingestion blocks
- Drive enterprise asset and vulnerability visibility and maintain consistent metrics and executive dashboards
- Evaluate zero-days, CVEs, and security bugs for prioritization, risk scoring, and operational deployment
- Drive security awareness, track SLA compliance, and manage escalations for critical unpatched assets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience
- One or more years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, specifically Vulnerability Management or Threat Exposure programs
- Practical experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and data manipulation
- Experience with core security concepts, CVSS, and exploit mechanics
- Hands-on experience in Security Operations, Cloud Security, or enterprise vulnerability assessment teams
- Familiarity with SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, and SOX
- Understanding of vulnerability vectors across AWS, GCP, Azure, containers, IaC, traditional operating systems, and networks
- Working knowledge of JSON, YAML, XML, and RESTful APIs
- Experience with AI/ML-driven security tools, predictive analytics, and contextual risk scoring
- Multi-departmental project management experience for enterprise-wide security initiatives
- Experience in telecommunications or highly complex, non-IT business segments
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and organized execution
- Ability to translate technical risk into business priorities
- Positive, collaborative, team-first mindset
- High degree of autonomy and ability to drive complex projects independently
