About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, scale, and maintain vulnerability assessment platforms, scanners, and underlying cloud infrastructure
  • Automate manual triage tasks, ingestion pipelines, and remediation tracking using scripting and integrations
  • Drive ongoing evaluation and optimization of vulnerability identification programs for hybrid and cloud-native attack surfaces
  • Collaborate with global functional organizations and cloud engineering teams to interpret vulnerability findings and streamline remediation
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external security vendors on scanning issues, API integrations, and ingestion blocks
  • Drive enterprise-wide asset and vulnerability visibility and consistent metric reporting and executive dashboards
  • Evaluate zero-days, CVEs, and security bugs for accurate prioritization, risk scoring, and operational deployment
  • Drive security awareness, track SLA compliance, and manage escalations for critical unpatched assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience
  • One or more years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, specifically Vulnerability Management or Threat Exposure programs
  • Practical experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • Experience with core security concepts, CVSS, and exploit mechanics
  • Hands-on experience in Security Operations, Cloud Security, or enterprise vulnerability assessment teams
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, or SOX
  • Understanding of vulnerability vectors across cloud workloads (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, IaC, traditional operating systems, and networks
  • Working knowledge of JSON, YAML, XML, and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with AI/ML-driven security tools, predictive analytics, and contextual risk scoring
  • Multi-departmental project management experience for enterprise-wide security initiatives
  • Experience in telecommunications or highly complex, non-IT business segments
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to translate technical risk into business priorities
  • Positive, collaborative, team-first mindset
  • High degree of autonomy and ability to drive complex projects independently
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
