About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the trusted technical advisor to key customer stakeholders, including CTOs, CISOs, IT Executives, Security Engineers, Network Engineers, and Heads of Physical Security
- Understand and navigate customer requirements using technical expertise
- Collaborate with the sales team to assess and qualify Enterprise customer opportunities and design effective technical solutions
- Lead product demonstrations and deliver presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences
- Act as Verkada's technical Subject Matter Expert, collaborating with Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement
- Interface directly with customers and partners throughout the sales process
- Overcome technical objections
- Assist customers in designing deployments with Verkada products
- Provide technical assistance to territory Enterprise Account Executives
- Travel regularly, estimated at 40% of the time, including domestic and international travel for business operations, customer and partner engagements, and team collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking, IT Security, Computer Engineering or related degree from an accredited university
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs and L2 devices
- Exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities
- Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
- Experience working with IT infrastructure, Linux operating systems, APIs, Python, and other coding languages preferred
- Industry certifications are a plus: Network +, Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.
- Must be located in Melbourne
- Must be willing and able to travel
- Must be independently authorised to work in Australia; employer cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
