About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop new end-user accounts in a target geographic territory and/or industry
  • Build relationships with end users and communicate the Versa Networks story
  • Manage a territory and grow business through established relationships
  • Drive new business through partner and customer contacts and industry knowledge
  • Create and maintain a customer pipeline, meet objectives and revenue goals, and grow the territory
  • Meet quarterly committed sales numbers
  • Recruit and build relationships with channel partners
  • Establish executive-level customer relationships and understand business needs
  • Lead and coordinate complex team-selling efforts with internal and external partners
  • Partner with Sales Engineers and technical support staff
  • Understand customers’ WAN, LAN, and branch technology infrastructure and requirements
  • Create proposals and presentations for RFPs and customer needs
  • Drive territory strategy aligned with Versa Networks’ software and security strategy
  • Forecast POC, sales figures, and projections accurately
  • Communicate consistently with sales leadership
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce data and records
  • Attend trade shows, meet-ups, and other industry activities
  • Negotiate with internal and external partners and end-user customers
  • Manage post-sale customer relationships and drive repeat business
  • Travel as required for this field-based position

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6-8 years of experience in end user enterprise selling
  • Strong technical expertise, deep industry knowledge, and industry contacts
  • Demonstrated success driving business through personal experience and established relationships
  • Consistent placement in the top 25% of Salesforce in quota attainment
  • Experience negotiating large transactions and ELA and closing deals
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, security solutions, and the marketplace highly desired
