About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and own product strategy for key platform areas
- Translate company goals and customer insights into a prioritized roadmap
- Oversee cross-functional projects from discovery through launch and iteration
- Synthesize qualitative feedback and quantitative data to identify opportunities and validate hypotheses
- Establish and monitor KPIs and analyze product performance trends
- Improve adoption, engagement, retention, and revenue outcomes
- Partner with engineering, design, data, onboarding, and support teams on requirements, scope, tradeoffs, and success metrics
- Create product requirement documents, user stories, and technical specifications
- Lead QA processes and define acceptance criteria
- Uphold user experience and product reliability standards
- Mentor junior product managers and influence stakeholders across departments
- Support go-to-market activities, create training materials, and drive feature adoption
- Build relationships with veterinary clinics and pet parents
- Define product vision and assess product strengths, opportunities, and risks
Requirements
What you’ll need- A four-year college degree
- 5+ years of progressive product management experience
- Experience owning complex product areas
- Demonstrated success delivering strategic, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact in a SaaS or technology-driven environment
- Ability to define and execute product strategy
- Experience managing multi-quarter roadmaps
- Experience leading discovery and experimentation efforts
- Experience partnering closely with engineering and design to ship scalable, high-quality solutions
- Strong long-term product vision and principled tradeoff decision-making
- Advanced analytical capabilities
- Experience defining KPIs and building business cases
- Experience with experimentation frameworks and data analytics tools
- Extensive experience writing product requirement documents
- Experience leading sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Experience managing stakeholder expectations and complex launches
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment
- Experience conducting user research and interviews
- Ability to manage competing priorities and mentor junior team members
- Strong understanding of technical architecture, APIs, integrations, and system design
- Comfort engaging in technical discussions and evaluating implementation tradeoffs
