About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with member practices as a key contact for inquiries, support and tailored solutions
  • Support onboarding of new shareholders and collaborate with internal teams for a seamless member experience
  • Generate and develop leads across Central Ontario through phone, email, virtual meetings and regular field visits
  • Identify sales opportunities using member needs, sales data and market trends
  • Coordinate follow-up with the Member Services team
  • Support initiatives focused on increasing member engagement and sales growth
  • Maintain accurate lead, sales activity and member information in the CRM system
  • Support Central Ontario practices with PIMS setup, inventory management and purchase-order processes
  • Maintain product cross-reference information and provide remote technical support to practices
  • Support planning and execution of events, including logistics, accommodations, setup and on-site coordination
  • Maintain relationships and coordinate communications with key industry associations
  • Participate in health and safety training, meetings and drills
  • Report health and safety violations or hazards to appropriate contacts
  • Incorporate VP’s core values into daily work, decision-making and interactions
  • Promote VP’s mission of delivering high-level service to member practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of direct experience in the veterinary field
  • Familiarity with veterinary concepts, practices and procedures
  • Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to be flexible with hours and travel occasionally
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional networks and connections
  • Knowledge of Practice Information Management Software (PIMS) is an asset
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Follow the Occupational Health & Safety Act and VP policies and procedures
  • Follow relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
