About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and maintain automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to eliminate manual operational tasks and optimize deployment workflows
- Collaborate with product and development teams to define, monitor, and enforce SLIs and SLOs for critical services
- Design and implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
- Participate in on-call rotations, provide operational support, and lead or participate in blameless post-mortems
- Optimize GCP infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability, including load balancing, traffic routing, and auto-scaling
- Support and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Plan, implement, and test disaster recovery, failover, and backup strategies
- Review application architectures and code to ensure production-readiness, security, and scalability standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–8 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Systems Engineering roles (or equivalent education and experience)
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery
- Strong expertise in managing, deploying, and troubleshooting Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S networking protocols
- Proficiency in at least one automation language, such as Python, Go, or Bash
- Experience with GCP Cloud Monitoring/Logging (formerly Stackdriver), Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and version control tools, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Google Cloud Build
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud SRE, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certifications are a plus
- Experience with large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems architectures is a plus
- Proficiency in modern Change Management and GitOps workflows
- Advanced/fluent English for communication with an international team
- Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills under pressure
- Strong commitment to SRE culture, with a focus on systemic fixes and a blameless culture
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills when working with developers, product, security, and stakeholders
