About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently plan, prepare, and conduct indication-specific scientific discussions and visits with community-based specialist physicians
  • Achieve growth and revenue targets for relevant promoted products and the portfolio
  • Identify and strategically manage relevant customer groups, specialist physicians, and specialized centers
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional and national key opinion leaders in compliance with legal requirements and Viatris’ internal codes
  • Analyze and actively help shape regional networks that influence prescribing behavior
  • Provide evidence-based, indication-specific advice on products, services, and treatment options within the assigned territory
  • Implement the applicable marketing and sales strategy, including individualized activity planning based on CRM and market data
  • Actively support therapy switches and treatment initiations while ensuring continuity of patient care
  • Serve as a scientifically grounded point of contact in the specialist-physician segment to strengthen Viatris brands
  • Plan, conduct, and/or support regional and national scientific events (on-site, hybrid, or digital)
  • Promptly document activities, sample distribution, and customer data in the CRM system, currently Veeva/Salesforce.com
  • Report adverse events within 24 hours in accordance with legal and internal requirements
  • Handle administrative tasks such as expense reports and reimbursements
  • Provide vacancy coverage when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of field-sales experience with prescription medicines (Rx), ideally in specialist-physician sales
  • Qualification as a pharmaceutical representative in accordance with Section 75 of the German Medicines Act (AMG)
  • Degree in natural sciences or a medical/pharmaceutical background preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmacology of relevant therapeutic areas, currently neurology, gastroenterology, and pain management
  • Experience in specialty or specialist-physician sales and working with complex therapeutic areas preferred
  • Strong customer focus, professional stakeholder management, and the ability to build long-term relationships
  • Proven sales expertise, strong scientific communication and argumentation skills, and a strong focus on closing
  • Analytical and entrepreneurial mindset, including the ability to confidently interpret regional market and healthcare-utilization data
  • Team player with excellent self-organization, digital proficiency, and a structured working style, as well as outstanding communication skills
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Residence within or near the assigned territory
  • Good English skills preferred
