About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and execution of the cloud security strategy, roadmap, and capability maturity plan across cloud platforms and services
  • Set cloud security architecture direction and implementation standards for landing zones, shared services, application patterns, and cloud platform engineering
  • Define reusable cloud security architecture patterns, reference designs, and implementation approaches
  • Establish automated security controls, policy-as-code, and testing expectations for CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows
  • Lead cloud threat modeling, architecture risk reviews, and executive-level risk discussions
  • Define security testing and assurance approaches throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Direct maturation of cloud-native security capabilities and CNAPP technologies
  • Manage cloud security programs from requirements through implementation, operational transition, and benefits realization
  • Assess enterprise cloud security capability gaps and sponsor implementation roadmaps
  • Drive automated, repeatable, policy-driven DevSecOps practices
  • Advise technology teams and Cybersecurity leadership on priorities, risk tradeoffs, service improvements, and investments
  • Lead, coach, and develop cloud security professionals and oversee selected capabilities
  • Develop cybersecurity countermeasures, risk mitigation approaches, and implementation guidance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required
  • Specialization in MIS, IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 8 years’ of experience in IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, Application Security, or Cloud Security Leadership required
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, architectures, operating models, and shared responsibility models
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles as applied to cloud platforms and software delivery
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and enterprise technology risk assessment
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, identity governance, privileged access, and access control methods
  • Knowledge of cloud security controls, configuration management, secure architecture principles, and governance practices
  • Knowledge of secure software development, security testing, and assurance concepts across the SDLC
  • Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and policy-as-code
  • Knowledge of cloud-native security and CNAPP capabilities
  • Skill in assessing security controls, control maturity, and residual risk
  • Skill in communicating complex technical, operational, and risk concepts
  • Skill in creating strategic roadmaps, decision materials, technical standards, and documentation
  • Skill in automation, scripting, API integration, and policy-as-code
