About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement production-grade integrations with CRMs, CDPs, measurement vendors, and data partners
Own integration projects end to end, from scoping through production, with accountability for outcomes
Work directly with external partners to define, validate, and evolve data contracts
Drive the architecture of Vibe's public API for account, advertiser, and campaign management
Build documentation, monitoring, and tooling for a strong developer experience
Contribute to the MCP gateway and authentication layers
Identify weak points in existing pipelines and lead rebuilds
Set code-quality standards through reviews
Use AI tooling to accelerate individual output and raise team performance
Set engineering norms and technical direction as the Integrations team grows
Contribute to architecture decisions across the team
Partner with the Engineering Manager on technical direction and hiring calibration

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years building production backend systems: APIs, data pipelines, and distributed services at scale
Strong TypeScript backend experience
Direct ownership of a major project from start to finish
AWS and Terraform experience with architectural decision-making
High-ownership background in a startup, scale-up, or similarly demanding environment
Third-party integrations experience with ETL, webhooks, REST/GraphQL APIs (nice to have)
Python, C++, or Rust experience alongside TypeScript (nice to have)
Experience designing or contributing to developer-facing platforms or public APIs (nice to have)
Startup experience at approximately 300 people or fewer (nice to have)
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be open to working from the NYC office on a hybrid schedule, 3 days per week in-office
