About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement production-grade integrations with CRMs, CDPs, measurement vendors, and data partners
Own integration projects end to end, from scoping through production
Work directly with external partners to define, validate, and evolve data contracts
Drive the architecture of Vibe's public API for account, advertiser, and campaign management
Build documentation, monitoring, and tooling for the developer experience
Contribute to the MCP gateway and authentication layers
Identify weak points in existing pipelines and lead rebuilds
Set the team's code-quality standard through reviews
Use AI tooling to accelerate individual and team output
Set engineering norms and technical direction as the Integrations team grows
Contribute to architecture decisions across the team
Partner with the Engineering Manager on technical direction and hiring calibration

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years building production backend systems
Strong TypeScript backend experience
Direct ownership of a major project from start to finish
AWS and Terraform experience with architectural decision-making
High-ownership background in a startup, scale-up, or similar environment
Third-party integrations experience with ETL, webhooks, REST/GraphQL APIs (nice to have)
Python, C++, or Rust alongside TypeScript (nice to have)
Experience designing or contributing to developer-facing platforms or public APIs (nice to have)
Startup experience of approximately 300 people or fewer (nice to have)
