About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Translate business problems into hypotheses, metrics, and analytical experiments;
Conduct advanced EDA, feature engineering, and training dataset preparation;
Train and evaluate models (classification, regression, time series, clustering, and recommendation, as needed);
Implement training/inference pipelines (e.g., notebooks and pipelines in Vertex AI, where applicable);
Work with large volumes of data in BigQuery and optimize data extraction for modeling;
Support initial deployment and handoff to production in collaboration with Engineering/MLOps (endpoints, batch scoring, and scheduled jobs);
Document experiments (metrics, data/model versions, and decisions) and support monitoring (drift/performance, where applicable);
Contribute to AI agent components (e.g., features, scoring, intelligent rules, and agent performance evaluation).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree completed;
Intermediate to advanced Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and notebooks);
Applied statistics and machine learning fundamentals (validation, overfitting, and metrics);
Advanced SQL and experience with BigQuery;
Familiarity with GCP and machine learning (Vertex AI, pipelines, and endpoints preferred);
Git version control and reproducibility best practices;
Preferred qualifications: MLflow/experiment tracking, model registries, LLMs/GenAI (where applicable), and MLOps fundamentals.
