About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical leadership across PreFAB, Manufacturing, Site Ready Scheduling, and future Fabrication Systems applications
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, defining solution architecture, integration approaches, and system design standards
- Serve as technical owner for complex initiatives across business, development, QA, documentation, and analytics teams
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Lead evaluation, design, and implementation of AI solutions and intelligent automation initiatives
- Translate business needs into technically actionable solution direction
- Convert approved solution direction into development-ready requirements, acceptance criteria, and implementation guidance
- Establish standards for APIs, integrations, database design, and system interoperability
- Assist with Project Unite integration initiatives and enterprise platform alignment
- Provide technical mentorship and direction to developers and contractors; participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical reviews
- Review solution designs and help resolve complex technical issues
- Partner with QA on test strategies and validate solution readiness before deployment
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Collaborate with analytics teams on data architecture, governance, and scalable reporting solutions
- Provide technical leadership, project oversight, and guidance without initially serving as a direct people manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of software engineering, systems architecture, or technical solution leadership experience
- Experience designing enterprise applications and integrations
- Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies
- Experience leading software projects from requirements through deployment
- Proven ability to influence technical teams without direct authority
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate business needs into technical execution plans
- Low-code platform experience; Mendix preferred
- Manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial software experience
- AI/ML solution design and implementation experience
- Data architecture and analytics platform experience
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
- No immigration sponsorship available
