About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for the Sales Controlling team
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Sales Controlling team
  • Establish team objectives and KPIs aligned with organizational goals
  • Monitor progress and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure reliability, accessibility, and accuracy of financial data assets
  • Partner with IT, ERP owners, and executive stakeholders to enforce master data standards and compliance
  • Oversee accurate, timely sales performance reports, dashboards, and analyses
  • Manage sales forecasting processes and provide strategic recommendations
  • Coordinate the end-to-end rebate process, including program design support, accruals, validation, tracking, reporting, and financial reconciliation
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to align rebate programs with business objectives and measurable ROI
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, customer performance, and profitability
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and commercial improvement areas
  • Optimize business processes and reporting systems through automation and system enhancements
  • Maintain internal controls and audit readiness for sales data and rebate activities
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities
  • Attend occasional local off-site meetings, travel up to 10%, and perform additional duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong foundation in financial controlling, including business analysis, forecasting, planning, and performance monitoring
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), SAP, SAP-BW, and SAP-SAC
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Proficiency with analytics languages such as SQL and DAX
  • In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, cost control, and financial compliance
  • Skilled in budgeting and forecasting methodologies, including short- and long-term planning, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret commercial agreements and apply relevant financial and operational provisions
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, sales analysis, or business planning
  • Proven management experience in a team-oriented environment strongly preferred
  • Must attend occasional local off-site meetings
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
