About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on bespoke and standard contracts for commercial transactions, including master services agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, and NDAs
- Manage state entity filings, annual reports, and registered agent matters for US entities
- Support corporate governance work
- Work with the data privacy team on privacy and data protection issues, including US state privacy laws and GDPR, and data processing agreements
- Provide day-to-day legal support to sales, engineering, operations, product, IT, marketing, HR, finance, and relationship management teams
- Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and processes
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, insurers, and external advisers in the US and internationally
- Collaborate with the wider global legal team
Requirements
What you’ll need- JD from an accredited US law school
- Active license in good standing to practice law in at least one US state
- Ability to meet any in-house counsel registration requirements in state of residence
- 1–3 years of in-house experience, ideally at a technology, software, or SaaS company
- Solid experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including technology, software, and SaaS agreements
- Experience supporting sales teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with stakeholders across multiple functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to weigh legal risk against business goals and provide practical, commercially minded advice
- Strong attention to detail
- Desirable: experience with intellectual property, privacy and data protection, information security terms, or employment law
- Desirable: international experience
