About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble and maintain resident and employee files according to company standards and state regulations
- Make bank deposits in a timely fashion
- Assist the home office to ensure monthly accounting close is accurate, complete, and timely
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies
- Maintain knowledge of the telephone system, computers, thermostat controls, alarm system, fire alarm, and nurse call system
- Maintain the community client roster in compliance with state regulations
- Maintain current employee phone-number listings
- Maintain current critical service-provider listings for emergencies
- Ensure all employees have criminal-record clearance on file
- Ensure day-to-day operational documents are current and present a positive image of the community
- Ensure adequate brochures and move-in packets are ready for tours and admissions
- Maintain records of employee in-services
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Experience as office manager in healthcare setting preferred
- High level of ability in effective and succinct communication, written, and oral with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public
- Valid driver's license
- Must have compassion for the desire to work with the elderly
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
- Working knowledge of computers including Excel, Word, and MS Office is required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to follow through with complex and detailed projects to completion
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodations
