About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Program Director in managing clinical, financial, and administrative operations of a day habilitation program
- Direct and manage program staff activities, including hiring, scheduling, training, evaluation, and staff meetings
- Direct implementation plans for program goals and objectives
- Supervise direct-care staff and/or Site Managers; provide training, conflict resolution, policies, and program systems
- Monitor timely completion and quality of Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
- Liaise with prospective participants; arrange and perform intake procedures and initial assessments
- Consult with Site Managers on daily operations, site supervision, and comprehensive assessments
- Oversee staff and on-call scheduling, purchasing, facilities management, and startup sites
- Ensure compliance with quality, licensing, certification, accreditation, regulatory, and program standards
- Provide direction on habilitative/rehabilitative strategies and interventions
- Participate in Vinfen and funding-agency committees and meetings
- Participate in meetings regarding intervention plans for persons served
- Serve as a resource for staff, families, public officials, neighbors, and other providers
- Perform human resources administration, including paperwork, staff development, certification records, workers’ compensation claims, and timesheets
- Review incident reports and ensure corrective action plans are implemented
- Provide training and crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of human services issues and trends
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Three to five years experience in progressively responsible human services functions
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services
- Experience may be substituted for academic training in some cases
- Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment
- Knowledge of operations management procedures and practices
- Knowledge of financial management practices in human service organizations
- Knowledge and use of advocacy techniques, communication styles, assessment practices, participatory planning techniques, crisis intervention techniques, and documentation requirements
- Ability to provide leadership to staff, multi-task, and work professionally and confidentially
- Driving is required using a Vinfen van or personal vehicle
- Personal vehicle users must maintain adequate insurance and a safe driving record
- Valid US driver's license required at employment; at least 21 years old and licensed in the US for at least six months
- Must pass a driver's screening background check
- CPR required within two weeks of hire
- First Aid required within two weeks of hire
- Safety Care required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform physically active duties, lift at least 25 pounds, assist clients with daily living tasks, and operate computers and office equipment
