About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Director of Service, Senior Program Directors, and Program Directors with financial, service utilization, and administrative operations
  • Ensure standards and regulations established by Vinfen and funding sources are followed
  • Prepare and monitor program budgets, forecasts, and amendments
  • Liaise with Vinfen’s Finance Department on accounting, billing, and payroll issues
  • Analyze financial reports and initiate accounting corrections
  • Manage and reconcile program fees and rent collection for persons served
  • Review and reconcile petty cash
  • Monitor and reconcile Representative Payee and Client Expense Accounts
  • Train program management and staff on administrative and financial functions
  • Develop and distribute expense and utilization management reports
  • Manage billing processes, including EIM and Food Stamps, for accuracy and timeliness
  • Participate in internal and external business-operations meetings with Vinfen and funding sources
  • Design and implement systems to improve administrative efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain current knowledge of financial issues and processes related to Vinfen and funding sources
  • Provide direction to administrative support staff
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two to three years’ experience in progressively responsible fiscal management
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of operations management procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of financial management practices in human service organizations
  • Organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent record-keeping skills
  • Ability to negotiate and solve problems
  • Ability to provide leadership and training to others
  • Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment
  • Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues
  • Ability to manage many competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity
  • Valid US driver’s license presented at employment
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Maintained a valid US driver’s license for at least six months
  • Ability to pass a driver’s screening background check
  • Safe driving record if driving
  • Adequate insurance if using a personal vehicle
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and perform physically active duties
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or a two-person lift
  • Ability to operate a computer, calculator, copier, printer, and other office equipment
  • Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways
  • Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living
  • Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time as needed
  • Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives
  • Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, plus ability to adjust focus
