About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct service in a GLE/SIE residential setting
- Help Persons Served overcome barriers to and prepare for independent living
- Implement Treatment Plan support interventions as directed by the Team LPHA Clinician
- Support new residents settling in and residents experiencing difficulty sleeping
- Administer, document, store, and dispose of medications according to MAP policies and regulations
- Provide crisis interventions and access on-call backup when needed
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, clean, and licensed residential environment
- Perform physical site maintenance and follow maintenance schedules
- Help prepare meals and involve residents in residence operations
- Encourage social interaction and collaborative relationships among residents, families, friends, and neighbors
- Complete required, incident, and other documentation
- Attend trainings, supervision, and staff meetings
- Assist with orientation of new staff
- Contribute to quality improvement goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in a human service discipline preferred
- Prior experience working in a human services setting strongly preferred
- Bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions encouraged to apply
- Valid driver's license required at employment
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid US driver's license maintained for at least six months
- Adequate insurance if using a personal vehicle
- Safe driving record and successful driver's screening background check
- CPR required within two weeks of hire
- First Aid required within two weeks of hire
- MAP required within 150 days of hire
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, lift at least 25 pounds, and assist PS with daily living tasks
- Ability to operate a computer and office equipment
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with PS, staff, and external representatives
- Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment
- Ability to make independent judgments and decisions and work confidentially
- Sensitivity to cultural, religious, ethnic, disability, and gender issues
