  • Advise Clubhouse members and assess, develop, and implement Individual Action Plans

  • Communicate and reinforce Clubhouse culture and philosophy with members, providers, community resources, and employer partners
  • Help develop, implement, and support Clubhouse policies and procedures

  • Support members with documenting Action Plan progress
  • Attend trainings, conferences, staff meetings, supervision, and professional development activities
  • Assist with orientation of new staff and members
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and coworkers
  • Help maintain the physical site and participate in Clubhouse events
  • Provide coverage and assistance for on-site and off-site activities, work units, daily program requirements, upkeep, and maintenance
  • Provide occasional weekend, evening, and holiday coverage
  • Provide expertise or leadership in Employment/Education, Communication/Art/Social Recreation, Intake/Orientation/Outreach/Housing, or Health/Wellness/Life Skills
  • For Education assignments: create assessments, develop curricula, conduct classes, supervise tutors, coordinate education opportunities, establish college and university affiliations, and support peer leadership
  • For Intake, Outreach, and Housing assignments: manage the work area, supervise staff and members, conduct intakes and assessments, monitor Action Plans, report data, and serve as a resource on housing and community participation
  • For Health, Wellness, and Life Skills assignments: develop culinary opportunities, coordinate nutritious meals, monitor supplies and budgets, train members in culinary skills, and maintain health and sanitation standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred; experience may substitute for education
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Services required
  • Advanced training, experience, or professional credentials required for Clubhouse Counselor II positions
  • Strong time management and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good judgment, and ability to coach and mentor
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Current, valid US driver's license held for at least 6 months; other posting language requires at least one year, plus adequate insurance if using a personal vehicle and a safe driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within 2 weeks of employment
  • Crisis Intervention/Staff Safety and Infectious Diseases training required within 6 months of employment
  • ServSafe training and exam required within 6 months for Health and Wellness positions
  • Successful CORI, reference, multi-state background, and driving record checks
  • Knowledge of Clubhouse standards and practices
  • Knowledge of Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles, values, and practices
  • Participatory, collaborative, teaching, and participatory planning skills
  • Strong organizational and writing skills
  • Knowledge of assessment practices and documentation standards
  • Knowledge of learning and communication styles
  • Knowledge of empowerment, self-advocacy, and peer support techniques
