About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the clinical, financial, and administrative operation of a GLE/SIE mental health services program
  • Promote residents' engagement, housing permanency, community tenure, self-sufficiency, and successful completion of residence tenure
  • Manage residential site systems, procedures, regulations, quality improvement initiatives, intakes, and discharges
  • Coordinate transitions with the Team’s Housing Coordinator
  • Create a welcoming, respectful, and valued helping environment for residents, families, friends, and other supports
  • Coordinate Treatment Plan interventions and ensure completion of non-clinical interventions
  • Implement Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention and Response Plans
  • Monitor documentation quality, Medicaid Rehab Option standards, evidence-based practices, and staff training needs
  • Support Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Housing First, Stages of Change, WRAP, Seeking Safety, and Cognitive Behavioral interventions
  • Manage DMH licensing, Medication Administration Program compliance, resources, budgets, expenses, and billing information
  • Manage adverse events, incident reporting, corrective actions, Human Rights policies, residence maintenance, repair, and safety
  • Maintain relationships with neighbors and other service providers
  • Hire, orient, supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to residential staff; conduct corrective action when needed
  • Manage relief and overtime resources and implement staff retention, recognition, awards, and career development initiatives
  • Maintain required performance measures and thorough documentation of resident needs and services
  • Promote access to healthcare, employment, and education services
  • Participate in the regional GLE/SIE Program Director Community of Practice Workgroup
  • Provide on-call coverage as assigned
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required; in some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training
  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner credential preferred
  • Minimum of one year of progressively responsible human services experience required
  • Experience working with people with psychiatric disability and/or co-occurring disorders required
  • Management experience preferred
  • Access to an operational and insured vehicle and willingness to use it to transport PS
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid US driver's license held for at least 6 months; posting also states at least one year in the driving requirements
  • Ability to pass CORI, driving record, employment reference, multi-state background, and driver's screening checks
  • Ability to become CPR and First Aid certified within two weeks of hire
  • Ability to become MAP certified within 150 days of hire
  • Knowledge of program management, operational management, administrative systems, housing assessment, documentation standards, and personal computer applications
  • Knowledge and use of recovery-oriented, person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and evidence-based practices
  • Ability to collaborate, make independent decisions, maintain confidentiality, and train residential staff
  • Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, climbing, assisting with daily living tasks, and lifting at least 25 pounds
  • Preference for bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions
