About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, preview, and secure residential and commercial properties for programs
  • Develop and maintain a network of landlords, property management companies, real estate brokers, investors, and company personnel
  • Coordinate program preview, department site feasibility appointments, and necessary inspections
  • Coordinate build-out requirements and negotiate them with property owners
  • Negotiate lease or sale terms and process purchase or lease documents
  • Maintain property and lease documentation
  • Track lease expirations, extension notices, and related activities
  • Maintain accurate information in the Real Estate Management database
  • Determine repair and maintenance responsibilities with Facilities and program staff
  • Negotiate and resolve landlord/tenant disputes
  • Provide documentation to Accounts Payable and Purchasing
  • Provide property updates to insurance carriers
  • Process lease-related Accounts Payable vouchers
  • Establish positive communication and coordination with constituencies
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and present information on leased and owned properties
  • Develop real estate operating budgets and plan future real estate needs
  • Provide current market information for purchases, lease negotiations, proposals, and strategic initiatives
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five to seven years’ experience in real estate and property administration on a corporate level
  • In some instances, experience may be substituted for academic training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Real Estate Broker license required
  • Knowledge of real estate market and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with purchase and sale process and related documents
  • Experience with commercial and residential lease processes and documents
  • Knowledge of property management practices
  • Well developed organizational, analytical, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and problem solve
  • Knowledge of Vinfen’s operational and clinical property requirements
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and office equipment
  • Ability to manage many competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand, and move around the facility
  • Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with persons served, staff, and external representatives
  • Required close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus
