About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct service in a GLE/SIE residential setting
  • Help Persons Served overcome barriers to and prepare for independent living
  • Implement Treatment Plan support interventions as directed by the Team LPHA Clinician
  • Administer, document, store, and dispose of medications according to MAP policies and Vinfen protocols
  • Provide crisis interventions and access on-call backup when needed
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, clean residential environment
  • Orient new Persons Served and assist with orienting new staff
  • Collaborate with Integrated Team members to address Persons Served needs
  • Perform day-to-day assignments directed by the Program Director
  • Use recovery-oriented, person-centered, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strengths-based approaches
  • Prepare meals and create opportunities for resident participation in meal preparation and site maintenance
  • Encourage resident social interaction and welcome families, friends, neighbors, and other important individuals
  • Advocate for Persons Served
  • Attend trainings, supervision, and staff meetings
  • Complete required documentation and incident documentation
  • Contribute to quality improvement goals and objectives
  • Support evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Housing First, Stages of Change, WRAP, Seeking Safety, and Cognitive Behavioral interventions
  • Perform physical site maintenance and other related duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree in a human service discipline preferred
  • One to two years of job-specific experience in human services field preferred
  • Bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions encouraged to apply
  • Valid driver's license required at employment
  • Adequate insurance and safe driving record required when using a personal vehicle
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid US driver's license maintained for at least six months
  • Pass a driver's screening background check
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, lift at least 25 pounds, and assist Persons Served with daily living tasks
  • Ability to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with Persons Served, staff, and external representatives
  • CPR certification required within two weeks of hire
  • First Aid certification required within two weeks of hire
  • MAP certification required within 150 days of hire
  • Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment
  • Ability to establish supportive trusting relationships and balance competing priorities
  • Ability to make independent judgments and decisions and work professionally and confidentially
