About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct service in a GLE/SIE residential setting
- Help Persons Served overcome barriers and prepare for independent living
- Implement Treatment Plan support interventions as directed by the Team LPHA Clinician
- Administer, document, store, and dispose of medications according to MAP requirements and company policy
- Provide crisis interventions and access on-call backup when needed
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, clean, and licensed residential environment
- Orient new residents and assist with orienting new staff
- Collaborate with Integrated Team members to address resident needs
- Perform day-to-day assignments directed by the Program Director
- Use recovery-oriented, person-centered, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strengths-based approaches
- Support meal preparation, physical site maintenance, social interaction, and collaborative resident relationships
- Advocate for Persons Served and serve as a resource for neighbors
- Participate in trainings, supervision, and staff meetings
- Complete required documentation and incident reports
- Contribute to quality improvement goals
- Support evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Housing First, Stages of Change, WRAP, Seeking Safety, and Cognitive Behavioral interventions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in a human service discipline preferred
- One to two years of job-specific experience in the human services field preferred
- Bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions are encouraged to apply
- Valid driver’s license required at employment
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid US driver’s license maintained for at least six months
- Adequate insurance and safe driving record if using a personal vehicle
- Ability to pass a driver screening background check
- CPR certification required within two weeks of hire
- First Aid certification required within two weeks of hire
- MAP certification required within 150 days of hire
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, lift at least 25 pounds, and assist Persons Served with daily living tasks
- Ability to operate a computer and office equipment
- Ability to communicate with Persons Served, staff, and external representatives
- Specific close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision abilities, plus ability to adjust focus
