About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the operational, financial, clinical, and administrative operations of residential group-home programs
  • Lead and manage program staff, including hiring, staffing, performance management, training, coaching, recognition, corrective action, and career development
  • Manage intake, initial assessments, housing and subsidy applications, and documentation for persons served
  • Provide supervision and direction regarding Individual Service Plans, Program Specific Treatment Plans, interventions, and rehabilitative strategies
  • Collaborate with people served, families, friends, employers, support staff, providers, public officials, and community resources
  • Resolve problems for staff and persons served and foster teamwork and leadership
  • Ensure compliance with quality, licensing, certification, accreditation, funding-source, and company standards
  • Develop and manage adherence to program budgets; ensure collection of fees and service-delivery data
  • Represent Vinfen in professional, regulatory, trade, and funding-source organizations and participate in meetings and committees
  • Manage adverse events and critical incidents, including implementation and reporting of corrective actions
  • Respond to data-collection and reporting requests and manage quality improvements
  • Provide on-call backup and on-site support and intervention when necessary
  • Store, administer, document, and dispose of medication in accordance with MAP requirements and regulations
  • Maintain staff knowledge of human-services issues, trends, and techniques
  • Ensure maintenance and safety of physical sites
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in progressively responsible human services functions, including two years in a supervisory capacity
  • Experience working with individuals with brain injury preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training
  • Knowledge of human services, operations management, advocacy, communication and learning styles, assessment practices, crisis intervention, financial management, documentation requirements, and personal computer applications
  • Ability to provide leadership and team management, balance competing priorities, make independent judgments, and work confidentially
  • Valid driver's license required at employment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year
  • Must pass a driver's screening background check
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physically active duties
  • CPR required within two weeks of hire
  • First Aid required within two weeks of hire
  • MAP required within 150 days of hire
  • Safety Care required within 90 days of hire
  • NET required
  • May be asked to obtain CBIS certification
  • Other training, as assigned
