About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the clinical, financial, and administrative operations of specified programs
- Direct and manage program staff activities, hiring and allocating staff to meet operational and financial goals
- Manage staff performance through direction, training, coaching, recognition, performance reviews, and corrective action
- Conduct timely intake procedures and initial assessments of prospective persons served
- Supervise treatment/support plans, interventions, rehabilitative strategies, and techniques
- Research housing and subsidy opportunities and assist with applications and required documentation
- Provide outreach and foster relationships among persons served, family, and friends
- Resolve problems for staff and persons served
- Foster teamwork and leadership in work groups
- Communicate updated policies and directives to staff
- Ensure timely completion of clinical, recordkeeping, and service/support/action plans and documents
- Ensure compliance with quality, licensing, certification, accreditation, and program standards
- Develop and manage adherence to program budgets
- Ensure collection of program fees and service delivery data
- Represent Vinfen in professional, trade, regulatory, and funding-source organizations
- Serve as a resource for staff, families, neighbors, public officials, and other providers
- Manage adverse events and ensure corrective actions are implemented and reported
- Respond to data collection and reporting requests
- Ensure program quality, goal achievement, and quality improvements
- Provide on-call backup and on-site support when necessary
- Store, administer, document, and dispose of medication in accordance with MAP requirements and policy
- Maintain and enhance staff knowledge of human services issues, trends, and techniques
- Ensure maintenance and safety of physical sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of three years’ experience in progressively responsible human services functions
- Two years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Experience working with individuals with brain injury preferred
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training
- Driving is required using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle
- Personal vehicle users must possess and maintain adequate insurance and a safe driving record
- Valid driver’s license must be presented at employment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have maintained a valid US driver’s license for at least six months
- Must pass a driver’s screening background check
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and perform physically active duties
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or a two-person lift
- Ability to operate a computer, calculator, copier, and printer
- Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living
- Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time as needed
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives
- CPR required within two weeks of hire
- First Aid required within two weeks of hire
- MAP required within 150 days of hire
- Safety Care required within 90 days of hire
- NET required
- May be asked to obtain CBIS certification
