About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical oversight, training, and support to CBHC and Vinfen Outpatient Clinicians
- Offer youth- and family-focused consultation and training to CBHC and VBH teams
- Provide weekly clinical supervision to assigned clinical staff and interns
- Facilitate Clinical Rounds and monthly group supervision
- Ensure MDT reviews occur within expected timeframes and client charts comply with clinic, DPH, and CARF requirements
- Participate in Quality Improvement and Utilization Review activities
- Communicate and network with youth-focused community partners
- Onboard and train clinical staff
- Develop child- and family-focused group programming
- Work with the training coordinator to ensure clinicians are trained in child, youth, and family-focused Evidence Based Practices
- Participate in back-up on-call rotation
- Assist the Director of Quality in reviewing record requests
- Participate in the professional development of licensed clinicians
- Carry an assigned caseload and meet productivity targets of 10 hours per week or one weekly group consistently attended by 10 or more people
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Independent licensure (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in child, youth, and family-focused behavioral health care
- Experience providing direct clinical supervision
- Experienced in effective clinical supervision techniques
- Ability to provide strong leadership to clinical team
- Familiarity with behavioral health, substance/addiction disorders and psychiatric conditions
- Experience using child, youth, and family-focused evidenced based practices
- Experience using formal and informal assessment practices
- Knowledge and understanding of participatory planning techniques
- Experience using crisis intervention techniques
- Familiarity with managed care practices and medical necessity criteria
- Experience using empowerment and self-advocacy techniques
- Knowledge of human, legal, civil rights, and other resources
- Knowledge of available community resources and alternative levels of care
- Knowledge and use of different communication styles
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues
- Knowledge and understanding of Code of Ethics
- Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity
- Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling or related degree required
- CPR within 2 weeks of hire
- First Aid within 2 weeks of hire
- Independent Clinical Licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) in state of service required
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting at least 25 pounds and assisting clients with tasks of daily living
- Ability to operate a computer and office equipment
- Driving is not required
